Our Youth Program starts back up for the season this weekend so our gym hours are changing! It's time to hunker down and get your fall/winter climbing routine started. The most notable change is some members only hours early in the day on Saturday and Sunday. These overlap some of our youth program (older age) groups when the gym is otherwise empty. We have reduced the participant caps in those groups to ensure you'll have lots of space. Here are the details:

Monday: 10am – 10pm
Tuesday: 12pm – 10pm
Wednesday: 10am – 10pm
Thursday: 12pm – 10pm
Friday: 3:30pm – 10pm
Saturday: 9:30am – 7:30pm
(Members Only Until 2:30 PM)
Sunday: 11:30am – 7:30pm
(Members Only Until 2:30 PM)

Kudos to this awesome group of Summer Camp staff and admin for completing another year of Wallnuts Youth Summer camp! Your dependability, energy, and commitment to our business and the participants has not gone unnoticed. Teaching a love for our sport along with environmental stewardship and a sense of adventure are some of things the participants will remember for a lifetime! As a parent myself, and having worked one of the guiding days (my own kids in tow), I really appreciate the patience you have and the sense of responsibility you instill in the participants. Thank you for putting together and running another great summer program!

Q1: What are belayers?
Belayers are the people who hold the rope safely for the climber. There will be plenty of available staff on hand to manage the ropes for all climbers.
Q2: Can I boulder at this event?
Bouldering is welcome for individuals who have done a bouldering orientation before at Wallnuts.
Q3: I’ve never climbed before, is this event for me?
We welcome all climbing levels and experienced staff will be there to ensure a safe and fun climbing session! This is a low pressure and community-oriented event and there are no expectations.
Q4: What else can I expect at this event?
Expect fun goodies, a great atmosphere, and a welcoming community of 2SLGBTQ+ climbers 🥳.

August 6th is Girls & Gender Diverse kids' day at Wallnuts!! Climbing is for EVERYONE, and we want girls & gender diverse kids to know that means THEM TOO!! Join us for a pay what you can trial climb between 12 - 4:30 on Sunday August 6th! For participants aged 6-18 years old - their responsible adults are welcome to drop them off or stay and watch!

Register online for one of three time slots - no experience required - our staff will be on hand to handle the roped safety systems! Open to both new and returning customers, but we ask that returning customers spread the love and bring a friend!!
All participants will receive information on our Fall Youth Programs, and a code for 25% off their first month of Youth Programs during the 2023/2024 school year!

Keep them climbing all summer long!

Teen Nights are for any former Team and Youth Program participants aged 12+ from this past season and beyond. They are free sessions for those whom have opted into our Summer Youth Program Membership ($42/monthly), or purchase a day pass Wednesday evenings.

These nights are drop in sessions with no registration required which run from June 28th to August 30th. Youth are welcome to attend as they wish, stay for all or a part, and arrive early or stay late. There is a coach on hand to give safety checks and offer belays for top rope and lead climbing if needed. This is not a highly structured or instructional program, and is not intended for new climbers - it is an opportunity for existing youth members to practice skills, maintain friendships, and still have some dedicated supervision over the summer.

If your kids were enrolled in the 2022/23 Youth or Team Programs then you are eligible for the Summer Youth Program Membership. They can climb as much as they want, whenever they want for less than the cost of 3 day passes monthly! This membership has no initiation fee. Rentals and Teen Nights are included for free. Drop in or call anytime to start the membership and we’ll prorate the price based on how many days are left in the billing cycle!
